Is the paint discolored like overheating? Check water lines for flow to head. Leaking signal line from tank to governor will cause compressor to run more than it needs . Could also just be shoddy rebuilds

No dis color. Good coolant flow and oil flow. 5 compressors from different places is hard to believe all were bad. Especially from different vendors

Still got one that quit? Take torx headed screws from unloader caps off and see if Orings are still on stems.

If so hold finger over discharge port and turn compressor by hand.

No had to turn in for core. We checked all the unloaders and they looked good. Also check bull gear and no play or maring on it.

I would highly suspect it’s not compressors going bad. Someone already suggested checking or changing the discharge line which is a good idea. Try checking the inlet line for clogs, and if it’s a rubber line check for collapsing. Also sometimes there is a strainer or filter on the inlet. If it can’t get air it can’t compress air.

We had a previous one at the shop and found traces of metal shaving eating up the piston. Have pics below

That’s probably a detail/clue you should have mentioned in your original post. Any other details/clues that that may help someone trying to help you? Since the shavings shown are on top, check your inlet all the way back through the turbo.

I just found that out. Talked to bendix and they said it could be coming from the compression box that is connected to the inlet tube
