I got few questions I was wondering about. First of all I dont have no cdl. I'm just right now trying to think ahead an plan ahead for when coal mine shuts down.
I notice on alot of companies say they offer performance bonuses, what do those normally consist of.
An this probably been answered several times an I'm sorry, but what would be a good company for someone who looking get cdl training.
I live in Linton Indiana witch is about 2 hours south of indy.
I thought I had more questions than that but guess I forgot oh well remember later.
    Thanks your help

Recommend you get trained for refrigerated trucking, due to current economy situation.
Be prepared for urine and hair follicle drug tests.
Aren't there programs available for coal miners that lose their jobs, to get free cdl training from private schools?
We can give you names of refrigerated trucking companies that offer cdl training.

One way to start preparing for trucking is to scroll to top of this page and click on "CDL Practice Tests" and memorize the answers to as many questions as you can. Those questions and answers are the same ones you'll have to know to get your CDL Permit at the DMV before starting cdl school.

Trucking company cdl schools will provide transportation to get to the school, then provide meals and lodging while attending school.
Here's one to look at that has training in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

Most of the companies are about the same, you'll be overworked and underpaid, but trucking is a great career, you put the time in and prive yourself as one of the best and you'll never have to worry about finding a job. If you can, pay for your cdl school yourself, and then find someone to hire you, but if not, PAM/ driver solutions has a school in Indianapolis, that's how I started.
