Perhaps. I am a newish guy and I pull fuel though so I am biased. I did do the Trans-Am thing for a while though but not for long.
-
If you watched "mega explosions" on the History channel last night, you would not even consider driving a fuel tanker. Can you say "Ka-Boom"?
-
I have pulled jet fuel and helicopter fuel. Pulled water for the oil fields. A driver needs to know how to handle a truck due to surge. One thing about fuel. You get in a mis-hap and it burns to the ground and there will be a black spot when they get the fire out.
-
I am not worried about the kabooms. It's rare. The surge is something to get used to, so you have to be good with smoothness first.

go with tmc.
I AM A FLATBEDDER, I TRAVEL WITH ALL EQUIPMENT NECCESSARY. CHAINS (FOR THE UNRULEY ONES), STRAPS (FOR THE SEMI-UNRULEY ONES),... -
Why are you limiting yourself to those companies???
-
Rare my foot. I have seen 100's of them burnt to the ground...
-
vs how many on the road? I am willing to bet you haven't seen HUNDREDS of fuel tanker explosions either. I can't even find links to that many in the US on google.
-
Well they are rare to you since you have been driving a year or less. I have seen 100's of them on the road burnt to the ground. I have never seen any of them explode. Just a black spot where a tractor trailer used to be when the fire was put out.The Challenger Thanks this.
