I am looking for a change in scenery i now own a home in la follette tn and i want to start over and get away from every body i no here! does that make sense?
no one here has any drive or ambition, partly because this is "bfe" an no work.
ive allways loved texas was thinking about lexington ky,alabama, would prefer a place with mild winters also my home is paid for and i would trade it for some land somewere else and just put a trailor on it.
Part of the reason for the move is as i cant get peace of mind someone keeps messing with my equipment , puching my doors cab throwing rocks etc. and it been going on for awhile and no one admits too it! lol go figure huh. so i want to get away from everyone!
my house has beatiful land and is in an excellent location.
As soon as i buy a vehicle witjin a week its trashed! i just bought a international 4700 model medium duty truck got it home washed it and the next day it had the door punched in and key scratches allover it!
its driving me crazy. i no ill never have anything here so i need to move even if its a trailor. I NEED PEACE OF MIND AND TO GET OUT OF THIS DEPRESSION THEY "WHOEVER" HAS DONE THIS .:biggrin_25513:
SO ANYONE WANTING TO TRADE OR NO OF A GOOD PLACE TO MOVE I WOULD BE GRATEFUL! THANKS !

Sell the #### thing, and move down here.

I know where a 3 bedroom brick home on 7 acres is, for $30k right now.

In the country, about 4 miles outside of town.

Not a "scenic" area. But people leave your #### alone. And you have access to over 27k acres of wildlife management area, within walking distance. :D

For real, if the family hasn't already sold it, which I doubt. But even if they have, there are others like it in this area.

As long as you don't mind doing a little work, IE maybe a new roof, flooring or dry wall. Houses can be had fairly cheap in this area.

We do have more upper crust housing in this area. But the median home price (new) is about $58k.

Our latest and greatest "upper class" subdivision, has a $125k minimum house price, as terms for building. Real classy eh? LOL

The thing to do here, is avoid the local Realtors if possible. And buy directly from the owner.

Cost of living is minimal, utilities and property taxes are cheap. PLUS, at age 65 you no longer have to pay property taxes on your primary residance...up to 125 acres with house.

Hey freebrd, don't you have someone who would come stay at your place for a couple days till these people show up and call the cops on them so you at least know who it is and then could deal with the problem. Sounds like a problem for my buddy Smith & Wesson!

    Eskimo6804 Thanks this.

Man we have stuff like this all the time. And it's not in the projects either.

It's just a matter of watching the papers. If there isn't one this week, you can bet there will be one, if not 2 next week.

The house across from me will be on the market this next week, it's really nice. It will go for about $80k plus. BUT...the owner has it over priced. So he has been doing the rent to own BS with people who can't actually afford the #### thing. We've been lucky so far, he's been really careful about who he rents to.

I've tried to buy it, as has one of my neighbors. No luck, he won't do an outright sell.

The $30k house, I've begged my daughter to come home and buy it. But they're too busy, and don't won't to buy just yet.
