Was reading last week that one of the players is sueing the bus company.

AModelCat, IH Truck Guy, not4hire and 2 others Thank this. -
I read the lawsuit names the estate of the deceased bus driver, the truck driver who hit them and the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I don’t blame them .. the trucking industry is still sliding downhill rapidly in the safety area.. Even during this over capacity due to the pandemic they are crying about driver shortages . Up the pay and the seats will fill with better quality drivers..Tibs pete Thanks this.

one of the parents is upset at the relaxing of regs during this pandemic..

To me, that's just BS. I ####ing hate ######## like that who just want free money.

I strongly agree with you. However, I think Glen's estate should be left out. Investigators proved there was no way he could've avoided the crash.

The naming of the bus driver is just a technicality in Canadian tort law, all responsible parties must be named initially. IIRC, the bus driver's estate can apply to the court to be severed from the suit and it will likely be granted. It happens quite regularly.
BigHossVolvo, upnorthwpg, magoo68 and 1 other person Thank this.
