New Authority

I got set up with a local guy who has a few of his own trucks and direct customers, I could probably do better, but the trucks running profitable and I’m paid within 7 days and he still gets to make a little money.

 

What if I let my authority sit for one year, But the question is what insurance do I need to keep the mc number active? Can I just submit general liability insurance and call it a day?

 

New member here. Hi. I’m 63, been out of it for 4 years now.
Getloaded.com got me my authority 10 years ago. Spoke to them (now DAT). They want $440 to reactivate and change company name to my newer corporation and new address. Now in Phoenix, AZ Hauled gasses, flatbed and trash around northeast for a few years
Quote on new policy based here and running 48 was for 15k.
Never really used my authority. Was leased on most of the time. Never ran freight off the boards. Considering Stepdeck trailer work now.
Question please is; After this virus finally settles down and the economy make a comeback, Does anyone know what kind of rates I can expect as a new guy chasing that kind of work off the boards from and back to this part of the country?
