i have been in chicago traffic, i dont see how you could do more than a couple, unless it was down the street & back.
-
That "other" driver is full of ####. Not only is Chicago terrible for traffic, you have to get in and out of the rail yards too.
-
15 trips a day, does Chicago have 96 hour days?Tankergirl80 and The Challenger Thank this. -
Well, can he hook up a trailer, drive across town, unhook and re-hook and drive back across town in a bout 40 minutes total time? Seriously doubt it. Just have him do dry runs for a 12 hour day and see what he comes up with, time wise. Then factor in hooking/unhooking/looking for trailer/dealing with office personnel and you will have an estimate. Might be 4 rounds a day, but that's just a guess.

I was told that they go from rail yard to rail yard within a 5 to 10 block radius. the name cross town is an understatement.
-
I've only been to a railyard once but it took me about 2 hours just to drop a trailer off. from what I hear those yards are netorious for being SLOW.
-
Oh hell yeah. I've been waiting in line to get out with 17 trucks in front of me.
Not mentioning the time it takes to get in one.....
