Expelled student sues over "unreasonable" cell phone search

Yeah they crossed the line. I would be out for blood too.

 

Omg don't they have something else better to do uhh like teach. My son is to keep his cellphone on vibrate at all times due to me and his father traveling for our jobs and my health issues so we can get ahold of him. His school wanted us to sign a cellphone contract stating they would take his phone if found on and he would have detention. We refused to sign it and tried explaining to the school our reasons and they don't care. We did tell our son he abuses the phone and has it out when it shouldn't be he would be phoneless.

 

I can see if the student abuses the phone......
But Schools "zero tolerance" policies are just stupid....

My kids' school will not allow:

Aspirin or any cold remedy... It's better to have kid with a pounding headche or the sniffles....they're not distractions now are they?

Plastic knives.....they're weapons...
Scarves and hats unless they are worn during pep-rallies with school colors....
The reason for that silly rule is "Bloods and Crips" wore hats and bandannas...If you ban their colors.....You must be fair and punish everybody else too.....

Liberal mentality.......spread the misery equally......

No touching in the halls during passing period.......

Now the next one has me confused.....
The "N" word is ok if black kids and Hispanic kids use it as a term of endearment...
But if a white or Asian kid did that...that would land them in detention...

"Cracker" is ok and calling a kid a Nazi is ok.....
My oldest daughter has blond hair and blue eyes.....she is called a Nazi by the black kids, of course not the honor kids though...they have a little bit sense and courtesy....

 

I couldn't be a teacher these days. First kid that had his cell phone ring or buzz, would lose that phone out the window...

 

The new thing at my sons school is..you can't have colored or dye hair it has to be your natural hair color.

 

To me that is a test of responsibility and maturity....
Both of my daughters have cell phones....they use them at school only before class starts (sometimes they forgot assignment ect...and call me to bring them to the office) and after school is out to let us know to pick them up or that they are staying after for after-school activities like Drama Club or Honors Society activities.

 

Oh.......I forgot that exception....Burqas too.....

I'm sure foot-baths will be installed just like USC, UCLA, and LAX....

It's going to interesting to see which group will fight for domination in CA....
The Muslims or the Illegals.....

I think I'll go get my lawn-chair and my ice-chest full of brews to watch the action....That will be better than watching Freddie Blassie.....

 

School has no right oncesoever to search a person's private property. Can the confiscate the phone? Eh, thats on shakey ground. And the parent should be able to get it back. But the school HAS NO LEGAL AUTHORITY to search a person property in that manner without a cop present. Whats next strip searching?

School will lose this fight, guarenteed. And who is the school to infere the intentions of something someone did off school grounds? American schools are setting a dangerous big brother precident.
