I posted a few years back about how 20-25 guys were content to watch an 18 yr old girl burn up in a pickup truck so they could have something to post about on facebook. This is simply the same thing. Half the drivers out there are weak willed spineless sidewalk sissies.Gearjammin' Penguin, LoSt_AgAiN, dancecanyon and 12 others Thank this.

That's really not such a bad thing right now. Many places you can still get a permit, provided you pass the background or whatever criteria. Right now people are acting so stupid, and buying up firearms left and right. Now it maybe a good thing it has become a little more difficult to get one. If this loser had a machine gun, more people would have died. Its unfortunate that the 3 died. Now on a side note, you say dems make it impossible to obtain a permit, yet repubs dominate all the power positions. One cant do without the other my friend.

I'm trying to understand how this happened and no one intervened. Did it happen so quickly that those that were witnessing it didn’t have time to comprehend what was going on?
I can see if he murdered those ladies before anyone could react and then was stood off while the police got there. A bystander could have a clear consensus.
I think for many of us the shame of doing nothing would be worse than the possibility of getting killed.LoSt_AgAiN, JReding, Deere hunter and 5 others Thank this. -
Or maybe half the drivers didn't want to take the chance.......its justified. To be honest, I cant personally say if I would or wouldn't. I've never been in a situation like that before. The reality is sometimes being a hero may backfire on you. Dont blame the truckers, hell even the police didn't approach him before the stabbings took place.WildTiger1990, Coffey and Muddydog79 Thank this.

As a younger man I put myself in harms way for strangers and friends. I’m in my 40s now and would hope I’d still do the same. I hate to think I might not.
“A coward dies a thousand times before his death, but the valiant taste of death but once. It seems to me most strange that men should fear, seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come.” ― William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar
I would be justified in not doing anything and wouldn’t blame others for standing by. I just don’t think I could live with myself if I stood by. Glad I haven’t been tested in a long time.Lite bug, bryan21384, kemosabi49 and 5 others Thank this.
