Dude the port is an all day affair. Dont expect to get any significant amount of miles on the day u are loading and unloading in port
hallellujah, x1Heavy and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
Second that. Baltimore minimum 6 hours back in the 80's Chester PA had the best turnaround in my experience. They had me swap chassis to any one on their property to any box on the same land to my truck at the rectangle in about 45 minutes or less all done and out.
Norfolk is the worst. You aint getting out of there until all the locals quit and go home late in the day. Plan on a 16 to 20 hour wait.hallellujah and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
How do you feel about team driving?
-
didn't like it. i remember waking up in the middle of my sleep feeling like the truck was going 100 mph down a hill.
-
I would like to know what king of rate did they offer you
-
it's a company job. i haven't taken it yet. they say they have 68 drivers doing this same kc to oakland port run. 1600-1700 a week

Sounds fishy. They may sneak a 1099 on ya. But even so, you would need 7 days to be able to do that run out and back.
