The short answer is no. I wouldn't even consider taking another man's life in a dispute over cargo. Let the hijacking begin. Off you go.

We have a company rule against firearms in the trucks or any other company vehicle.
That being said, if one of our drivers is loading or delivering in a bad part of the Bay Area or Stockton or even Sacrament he might pack something along with his lunch. I'm not going to search him or treat him like a child or even ask him if he's carrying.
I hope nobody has to use their gun but I'd rather bail a driver out of jail than have to call his family because he's dead.

What do they call a place with a "No Guns Allowed" sign?

    A target rich environment.

    They can have the freight.
I, though, have every intention of going home in one piece.
Stay at the other end of that vehicle with your bad intentions.

Triple six is obviously a smart person and has done research. There are however exceptions to the rule of state to state laws when pertaining to "ccw" I am an iowa resident with an iowa permit. Iowa does not issue "ccw" they issue Non Professional Permit to Carry Weapons. Nothing here about"ccw" this is because with the 40 plus states that reciporicate with iowa you can carry open and or concealed. And it doesent have to be a gun. Again its a permit to carry "weapons". This is wear the law gets tricky. Illinois doesent reckognize iowa permits , However if you are an iowa resident with an iowa permit , you can travel in and throughout illinois with a loaded gun on your dashboard. You just cant carry on your person. I unfortunately know these laws because shutting down I294 in chicago at gun point..facing 25 years fed time 5 trips to court with my ####### lawyer and getting an illinois state trooper fired. Taught me to practice civil rights laws. Also rights as commercial vehicle operators and illegal search and seizure laws.

The odds of having to use a gun are slim, but not none. I carry for that 1 time out of..... My job, according to my wife, is to come home safe. I agree. Physically, I know that I can't fight anymore. I'm too out of shape and too old. Need an edge cause idiot's are everywhere.

I try to not call attention to myself and am polite to everyone. But, sometimes even that isn't enough. Y'all do what you think best as will I.

I haven't needed a gun since I was big enough to kill a bear with my bear hands
