There is about to be a mass thinning of the herd that only the well positioned will survive.
Those that financed fancy toys the last 2 years instead of plowing that money into the truck or saving it are doomed .
I know of 2 people right now that are only 1 breakdown away from bankruptcy due to being toy and fancy vacation poor .

The Lowes and Home Depot around here are busy lots of people off work and getting paid for now. I’m thinking most are like me (except I’m not getting paid) and way ahead on the yard work.

Most of the rest of the world is going to recover and restart their economies before we do because the pandemic is having very little effect on them. As it stands right now, 6 countries make up around 80% of the total deaths. I've been reading for the last couple days about why this is happening.

Practically every country in the world vaccinates babies at birth with the BCG vaccine which prevents tuberculosis for life. The World Health Organization provides vaccine to poor countries for free in Africa, and the rest of the world pays for their own because it's cheap to make. Scientists are finally figuring out that this vaccine also prevents certain viruses from infecting people, namely viruses in the corona family. India began vaccinating newborns in 1949 and they estimate that 97% of their population is covered. That's why a country with a population close to that of China in an area half the size of the US isn't overwhelmed with this pandemic.

China started the vaccinations around the same time as India, but they stopped for a period of time from the mid 60's until the early 80's which is why mostly people born in that period are getting it. In the good old USA, we decided when the vaccine became available that we were just too smart to need it, and we would treat tuberculosis cases as they happened rather than give vaccinations to prevent them, so here we are paying the price for our stupidity. Other countries that made the same decision as us are Italy, Spain, and France. The UK and Germany use to give the shot but both stopped at some point.

So here we are, the greatest economy in the world brought to our knees by a little virus we could have prevented. If you want to know more about this vaccine, just to a Google search for BCG vaccine treatment for covid-19. In the mean time, Hydroxychloroquine is looking like the best option for treating people that already have the virus, so with any luck we can get a lot of it made and out to where it's needed. Since the BCG vaccine appears to work as a preventative measure for most people, no need to wait for another year or more to develop another vaccine for this virus.

Good luck to all of us.

Stores won’t go empty. Too many hungry Truckers out there. Might be a boom once things open up again. No one knows, but I’m guessing it will be short lived, at best. ( No pun intended)
