Can’t save money on the road. Gotta save it at home before you leave the house. If on the road for months gotta park at them Walmart’s and grocery shop

Cut down on your purchases at the fuel stops. You'll be amazed at how much you save when you buy soda/water at a grocery store.

As I've stated many times before, I have a 12c Mr Coffee in the truck, an apartment size refrigerator, a propane stove, pots and pans, etc. I/we buy *real* food that needs cooked, not microwaved. It takes a bit longer but it's worth it. If you smoke, only buy cigarettes in Missouri or NoDak ($10 -20/carton cheaper).

Set a budget and stick to it. My company pays per diem for meals at 9 cents per mile. I ran 3000 plus miles this week. Does it really take 270 dollars for me to eat? Not at all. It dont even take 100 dollars. Sometimes not even 50. If we are talking about food, buy protein shakes ie Boost, Ensure, or the equivalent. If you drink one in the morning, you will be good to go for much of the day, and you will get your vitamins. The food you buy will start to last longer. As for other expenses, buy only what you need

I don't understand why you would think those drinks are even good for you. They certainly don't take the place of real nutrition. I understand giving them to cancer patients, they need all the empty calories they can get. Plus they flow easily through the tubes some of them require. Have you even read the labels on some of that garbage?

Guys i am handling food fine ( slow cooker, sandwiches, tuna etc.)
My main concern is market, i save some money for three months in the year (when market start working little bit) but most of the time i am breaking even.
I had three trucks , two driver and i sold them (not drivers) looking for dedicated route or consistent loads on weekly basis ( I dispatch my own truck and usually i am over 5k gross a week. Use to be much better

Everything is in the crapper, right now. That said, the best way to consistently save money is watching your speed. The megas have the formula right, they just go about it the wrong way. Just because the speed limit is 75, it's not a requirement that you go that fast. My truck will go fast but I keep it between 63 and 68 on the freeway.

It's about as good or bad as anything else we put in our bodies.

The biggest thing one can do is limit their personal finances at home.
