I understand carrying one completely... What I fail to understand is pulling it out because someone’s scared to take an ### whoopin.

this was the case when I returned to this 17 years ago, people were rude then, many didn't give a crap what happened to the other guy.
Here is an an example, my cousin who does my computer stuff went back on the road in 2005, he bought himself a nice little FL Century. He was headed down to Bessemer Alabama and he broke a fanbelt, he carried one with him as a spare and the tools but it is a lot easier if there are two people to put it on.
So he comes off the freeway to fuel up and BOOM the belt broke. The volt meter started to dip and the temps were rising. He gets into the Pilot and finds a parking space, he pulls the hood up starts working with a flash light and but can't get the thing on.
a lot of people were walking around, admiring the long wheelbase W900l with all the chrome and custom paint two trucks down (some famous clown who was at one of the local shows) while people just stared at him working on the problem.
NOT one person stopped and asked if they could help.
I know for some this is uncommon but it isn't. Had a flat steer in New Mexico from some road debris, and the prick wouldn't move his truck so the repair guy had an easier time changing the tire out. This prick was bobtail and taking up the entire spot, but parked all the way back, he said I should have had a flat somewhere else.Powder Joints, AModelCat, Swine hauler and 1 other person Thank this. -

Thanks for notifying me of my current status in the industry. I'll let @wore out know as well.
Here I am, the first one to stop and help, lend a tool, a part, or a hand, say an encouraging word, assist with directions, pass on a helpful bit of hard won knowledge... Helped two new immigrants this week alone back into wide open truck parking spaces...got a thumbs up and a smile in return..
Turns out after 30 years..... I'm the real loser. Nice.GoldenLad, Smut, Roberts450 and 8 others Thank this.
