Yeah, sorry we closed the restaurant, here's a roller dog that's been coughed on by at least 150 truckers. See, we really do care about truckers.

 

I entered a Dennys at Chicago Highland. Sat at the counter. Place was full. Lunch time too.

I patiently wait at the counter three hours. I did not get served at all due to my skin. They were having a racial issue protest at some point that week for which I cared nothing for.

That would be the absolute last dennys I would visit. If I ever wanted to visit another it's going to be US 50 at US 113 before sunrise. The staff there are very good.

But after the highland incident the rest of the dennies can burn for all I care.

 

10 minutes and no service, I'm outta there. My time is valuable. Why did you wait 3 hours?

 

It’s all PR BS!! Nobody gives a crap about truckers. We’re on our own out here and most of us know it. Not the company, not the government, not anyone except a few random other truck drivers give a crap about truck drivers. That’s one of the first things I learned going into this.

we keep the country afloat and will be the first to have to pick things up when economy turns around, yet we don’t even get five dollars of a two Trillion dollar historic government stimulus package.

Most of us will never collect that unemployment, instead will be forced to sit on trucks for days at a time with no pay and they take it or leave it attitude from the companies we work for.

Nobody’s getting $100,000 from Love’s. It’s just a PR campaign.

 

I had the time. And they were a good staff until that protest I gave them every oppertunity.

Part of the time was used in assessing and considering the new situation I had walked into there. The place was full of magpies who did a whole lot of hot air talking. I delivered some parting shots verbally as I left. And it hurt them.

If I find myself in that situation ever again, it would not even be 5 minutes. We don't have time or money for that sillyness.

 

Everyone keeps the economy afloat. You are not special.
