I notice that both in the US and mainland Europe you operate tippers(dumps) without any insulation for asphalt In the UK we have to have at least an outer skin of aluminium so that you have an air gap. Sometimes they fill that gap with insulation material. I also noticed that you manage to tip in pavers with a full back door where we have to hinge it midway and lift the bottom half so that the door doesn’t dig into the pan of the paver.

Scandinavia use insulated bodies for decades.
    In NL very common.
Austria and switzerland for a very long time, they use something called asphaltmulde.

Germany all new trucks frim 2015 for asphalt must be insulated, old could be used till 2019.

Here we dont have such regulation, some lazy drivers of state owned companies will with cover load even if it is cold/rain

Pre emission engines in Germany were routed into the bed.
    Now no more.
FYI those were semi's with the exhaust blowing into the bed when they drove straight.
In turns it was not connected.
Tube was around the pivot point on the fithwheel.

Even for gravel they're becoming more common up here.

This is what comes to mind when I hear the term "Dump Truck." Clean and simple. No goofy looking lift axles or steerable pushers. Nahanni dump box is probably the nicest looking box on the market. Pretty common out west since they're fabricated down in Langley.
