That is my precise timeline. We peaked in 1970. Somewhere, someone decided that these two superpowers, USA and USSR had to be taken down a notch or 2 militarily and economically, lest they incinerate the world with the thousands of nuclear weapons. So the shift began. The Soviet Union was first in 1990, we have been sinking faster and faster since. It is called Globalism. But something like this pandemic wasn't in the grand plan of the Globalists. On to plan B, whatever that may be.

Too bad you aren't closer to me, I could keep your freezer stocked for as long as you wanted. We butchered our last two hogs in December and planned to not raise anymore for sale for awhile. Now, we may have to re-think this though.

You guys that live near small producer's, seek them out. Likely, the food will be better quality, taste better, and you'll be helping out your local farmer...

If I had a freezer to put it in I'd love a half a hog. :D

That's been our household mantra for a long time. Food that actually tastes like it is supposed to.

Actually here in FL they are talking about their being a surplus at the farms here. So they can't get it to market. So people are gonna be connected with the farmers to buy it. But it will be bulk, not like you do in the grocery store.

It's odd that the run on gold hasn't started yet. Will it get to 4000 an oz this time? Remember, just 20 years ago gold was 300 an oz.

Thank God I already moved all my meat buying to a local butcher shop carrying local produced meat.

Now to take a wander through the local farmer's market for fruits and veggies, maybe learn how to can stuff for the winter.

Our world has changed dramatically. Time to adapt to the new realities.

That's ok, can it up or share it with the family or others in need.

Pick one up, thank me later. Seriously, we have four here, one for beef, pork, chicken, & vegetables/fruit. We also can everything, except for the chicken....
