Curiosity killed me today as I have been shopping pick ups on car max online for awhile now and found a standard cab Silverado here I loved so went and looked at it ..as suspected not enough room for somebody 6'6 300ilbs .
But they did find me a nice extended cab Silverado in kansas city that came that was titled in Alabama and Florida and having it shipped to Omaha.

Okay... count FLORIDA out for the sea spray..you should've seen the 'JEEP' that the wife had me 'trailer' back here.. OMG.. yeah, haha!

So.. what's left... Cali, Hawaii, Alaska (?!?), okay, Montana or the Dakotas...garaged..would be good. I'm not doing KY or the VA's.. I've met the people first hand, being close and all, haha!! ;)

I’d add the Dakotas to that list, they lay the salt down pretty heavy.

Other than in Fargo, Bismarck, grand forks and Sioux falls in town the dakotas are very stingy with salt .
When I was a kid in Fargo they used no salt even in town , instead using coal cinders but only at intersections and curves , it was very effective but man when it melted it made a mess !
Epa eventually put an end to it .

I just came across SD on I-90 last week and the road was plenty white from all the salt they had put down previously. I run both states in the winter and they aren’t stingy with it anymore.

My buddy hauls grain in north dakota and a couple weeks ago he was following the state truck up I29 and he told me how they were really throwing the salt down. It surprised me to hear north dakota was useing it too.

Boy no kidding ! In my no. dakota days you were out of luck for any chemical use outside of the busiest intersections in Fargo, on 29 and 94 they would ( maybe) sand the curves , ramps and bridges.
Used to be a sign at no. Souix city on I 29 years ago that warned of no chemical use and limited plowing after dark .
