Floor loaded potatoes in a reefer on i77 southbound across the appalachians... is that something to worry about? I’ve not had a loose load like this before. Could they shift? They want me to be loaded just shy of 80k.

A picture might help. I know in a 4 wheeler turns shift anything in it. So in theory it could shift. But let the experts way in.

No worries, they won’t move unless you hit something and come to a sudden stop.

The bad part is you got to unload them, one at a time-by hand as to not damage them. He he.

Bulk potatoes are fairly stable. We used to haul them a lot when we had vans. They don't tend to shift much.
If you get loaded heavy on your axles it's a lot of work to shift the load. Be careful.
Trailer clean-out can be a major chore.

It helps, but you’ll still have some at the back door.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Make sure to arrive with full fuel. Most likely they will scale you when you come in and base what they will put on by that.

Don’t trust their scale either, get a Cat Scale after you’re loaded.
