We operate mon-fri so I pretty much have my answer. For some reason i always thought it was optional, as to which rule you ran, but I have only worked for companies that used the 70 hour rule so it never occured to me to question it.
The thought of only working 60 hours a week (or less) is just weird to me... gonna take some getting used to.

A couple other problems I have are, If I am working then the trucking company is operating. It is possible to work more than 70 hrs in 8 days driving with a reset.

The link provided has further guidance explaining how one must run 60/7 one week working 6 days or less, but if they deliver 7 days a week one week, can use the 70/8that week.Kyle G. Thanks this.
