Any driver nearing or expecting their longevity raise as per Kimberley......
Me........
Good morning. Can you tell me when my longevity raise goes into effect? Thanks.
FIOJ
Her.........
All raises have been placed on a temporary hold until we are out of the current situation created by COVID-19. Once we have cleared this hurtle we will go back and implement the anniversary raises.
Me........
Great.
I’m pissed. My longevity raise was earned from last April 13th to this April 13th. I’ve already earned it. So, just to ruffle feathers back in Richmond, I put in for my hometime at the house beginning next Thursday, coming out the following Wednesday. It’s been approved, then this came to light, so what did I do? Sent in another hometime request showing Richmond being where the truck will be parked, and the return date open. 5 minutes later the phone rings. It’s my DM asking me what this all about. I told him what happened, and that if minimally I can’t get an earned raise of .01, let alone some kind of bonus pay for being out here, I’ll be cleaning my truck out when I get back to Richmond and will come back when this pandemic passes. He’s at a loss for words, tries to reason with me, I’m beyond pissed and hang up on him. I’m just waiting for someone else higher up the ladder to call. I might answer or might just deal with it Monday face to face after I get back from Baltimore. Right now I’m not in a talkative mood. -
Now you know how every local driver felt when they took away our bonus AND told us we would not be getting a raise for the foreseeable future. Sucks.

a lot of companies are laying off drivers giving them a pay cut or cutting their days down. Good luck finding one during this time when most manufacturers are at a stop. You’ll get hired but like most OTR drivers you’ll probably go days with out an assigned load, last week some OTR drivers went 2 days with out a load in Atlanta during the week.

Not JB... he will be enjoying his pool and puppies for the foreseeable future... no worries.

That’s good for the masses, fortunately for me, if I go home without the truck, I have no problem staying home until the holidays, and then decide if I’ll retire or not.

Ya, it’s bad enough that we don’t get raises for doing a good job, not requiring a wake up call in the mornings, etc... just if we survive and stick around for the year... then here’s your penny... and it goes to those clowns that require babysitting alike.TokyoJoe, dwells40, Finfn1372 and 1 other person Thank this.

How do they do raises there? I saw on the website it just says reviewed annually.
-
After year 2 you get a penny every year on your hire date. We have a penny bonus paid for all miles run for the year paid on the check before Christmas. You get a 2 cent bonus every month for miles run and safety. Must run over 10,000 miles a month and not hit anything.

Pretty good about getting you 10k a month?
