Ive got an X15 Performance that keeps throwing FC3383.
Engine Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System - Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range - Moderately Severe Level
Seems like it is measuring EGR when it shouldnt. I have had this code log at valve 0% open, 33% open and 34% open.
Ive cleaned the EGR venturi, replaced the EGR differential pressure sensor, replaced the BARO sensor as well.
Code seems to come back on the second trip after working on this thing.
Each time I have noticed a lot of condensation on the EGR differential pressure sensor, not coolant.
Anyone have any ideas where to go next?

Could be EGR valve not closing fully. Last one I did was a failed EGR cooler putting coolant in the exhaust. Did you check for any calibration updates?

I have replaced the EGR valve as soon as I saw it threw this code when the valve was commanded 0% open.
Ive got access to quickserve. I have followed the TS, all thats left is to measure for a restricted exhaust, it was all split apart and reassembled a month ago though and should be ok. -
Load tested the egr differential pressure sensor wires?
Why was the exhaust system all apart?
Had a truck in from the states with a previous dpf internal failure. Last shop didn't get all the dpf material off the face of the SCR and it was throwing manifold pressure codes.QUALITYTRUCK Thanks this. -
I have not tested the wiring yet. The thing that really baffles me and is likely the cause of this is excessive moisture on the sensor.
The aftertreatment was disassembled because of external exhaust leaks.
Each time the sensor is removed the tech has noted condensation in the sensor.
The EGR venturi has been cleaned repeatedly for this same fault code.
I just went and removed this sensor and checked and sure enough it is soaking wet enough to use a dropper and suck the fluid out and put on a refractometer to verify freeze point. 0 Deg C. Which eliminates this as coolant. -
Moisture in the EGR and intake system isn't uncommon in cold climates. I've poured water out of intake pipes and charge air coolers quite commonly in the winter

This unit has logged this code a couple more times, both times EGR valve 0% open. EGR differential pressure reads 0.7 InHG. Pulled the sensor and it is dripping wet.

This unit worked fine all sumer and now that we are hovering around 0 degrees C here in northern Canada the code is back....anyone have this before?

I know there was calibration updates for other EGR codes.
Had a fleet of X15s up north last year and again this year without that code so farFlint1 and spsauerland Thank this. -
I would suggest exhuasting the fault troubleshooting tree and getting Cummins involved. Maybe romove the flow veturi for a thorough inspection if you havnt allready.
What is the outside air temp when the fault logs? Is the engine running? Can you see any pattern in the freeze frame as to the conditions when the fault occurs? Just some things to ponder.
