I know it’s old post but I’ve never understood guys complaining about “old” trucks with 300,000 miles....

Back in 96 there weren’t as many (if any) trucks equipped with a high amount of electronics and/or DEF as there is now.;)

The 1st truck I drove OTR already had 325,000 miles on the clock and was plagued with electrical issues that wouldn’t pass muster in a DOT Level 2 if I happened to get hit with one.

    Western flyer Thanks this.

Gucci sounds high maintenance, companies couldn't stay open if they treated drivers that way in my opinion.

Many times you are not told this until you arrive at orientation, even though you have asked the recruiter if this is the case or not.

I must be old school because I want to speak with a company employee before I consider giving them more than 2 phone calls.

An old truck has 300 k on the clock? That's kind of odd.

My first company truck had anywhere from 889k to 8.89 million - mainly because the odometer didn't work. Nor did many other things like heat, ac, fuel gauge....
