Mine has everything all the way back to high school. Including my original driver license and my commercial license. Both having THE SAME number.

which is why i wonder they didn't send me a new DAC telling me of my past, with a footnote that the CDL is no longer valid?

oh well.....no big deal, just wondering why you and mine were both different regarding our past jobs

I'm surprised there's that much info to begin with. Talk about no privacy.

I paid for and pulled everything, had a employer pull the files not open to me. Pulled it ALL. Going back to kindergarden and even before.

Records were routine until trucking. Nothing exists of my trucking days except for one little botched orientation with Covenant back in 1996. Since Covenant and 15 other Motor Carriers such as SRT etc are cooperating on their own PRIVATE DAC, that botched orientation will stay on there until the sun burns out. Its so far back its irrevelant.

I even had a Blacklisting by a big billion dollar outfit. They are irrevelant now too. So it has no longer any effect. Its so long ago. Not to mention I learned that company state's specific NOLA legal or illegal B/Ling acts such as verbal on phone only but never in writing to my prospective employer.

I'll just show up and said I did flatbed for a year with such a such a company until they went out of business decades ago. I still retain the knowledge to put coils, brick, shingle and roofing foam and rolls on. No problem and can demonstrate same any time. And so... that clears away alot of problems. Without having to ever bring up the old B/Ling company. They do not matter. Stories yes. But the time has passed to many years that whatever the problems are do not matter.

What you do not want is hot positives, DUI, DWI, Assauilt, theft, committing a crime with CMV and so on. You will find yourself either off the road for 5, 10 or life. Among other things.

Social security is in possession of my life time earnings file. Thats constantly updated. I use it from time to time to update on employers bought out by other employers.

I’m coming up on two years and over the road trucking. When I first got out of school I took a job with a midsize carrier out of Pennsylvania. I lived at the time in Georgia. My third week in the training and my final week they called me up and said they hadn’t caught that I actually resided in South Carolina and that due to the way the routes ran it wouldn’t work them. They literally let me go on the spot and had to get my stuff off the truck. I was pissed.. I was pissed. total waste of time.

A month later I got in with the company I am now. My first year I ran 142,000 miles with this company. No tickets, no accidents, no drama, I run hard for them, no BS and they pay me no BS. I’ve been approached and asked if in another year or two I would consider being a trainer. I think that highly of them and they of me.

A couple weeks ago the recruiter who originally recruited me and I got on the topic of the first company. And he asked, did you know what that company put on your DAC report? Not really even knowing what that meant, I inquired and he said well , that you failed to follow company policy and were fired.”

since that time I retained an attorney over the matter. Yes in Attorney. And he sent them a letter. He told them they had 90 days to remove the comment for my report or they would be sued in excess of $150,000. And have to defend themselves in court. They removed it the next day. Non contested.

Don’t let trucking companies put crap that doesn’t belong on your report.
