Ok so it turns out I actually didn’t bend it. I looked at it again in the morning and it is still in same condition as before. I think the lighting from the parking lot was just at the perfect angle to make it look more damaged than normal. In the daylight I can hardly tell it’s bent.
It’s a good thing I didn’t report it lmao.austinmike and Dennixx Thank this. -
but in the future, if you mess up?
admit to it ASAP..many times, there is NO punishment, but just a "good talking to".
a man that owes up to his mistakes, is a man of honor and character.
a man that does not, well, just ain't no one to be respected. -
All that aero-fairing stuff that is put on trucks is meant to get bent and ripped up or fall off. It’s biodegradable so its great for the environment and good scenery when its laying on the shoulders and sides of highways or in parking lots.
Notice how when someone who actually wants a good work truck buys an ex fleet truck the first thing they do is dumpster all that garbage.7-UP and HoneyBadger67 Thank this. -

A little is a lot subjective.D.Tibbitt, Lonesome, buddyd157 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I bent the rubber bit on the top end of mine. They send me to a place obviously not meant for big trucks and as I backed in I hit a #### branch. Wasn’t a big one but it was thick enough to move the rubber and it didn’t bend it completely but it disconnected it with the bottom fairing. Let company know took a picture they said you’re good keep moving. Haven’t seen in on my DAC yet. Maybe that’s cause I’m not in a mega carrier now though.

Don't report it.
rachi and austinmike Thank this. -
I snapped one of those things clean off my first driving gig. They were more concerned about my reporting it ASAP. Never heard anything aboot snapped part. It’s probly still on the side of the road in PennsylTucky somewhere.
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
With an attitude like that, you should probably start looking for a different job now. You'll probably never be paid what you think you're 'worth' and, whether the damage is cosmetic or not, you still damaged the truck. Pay out of pocket to fix it or take your lump with a confession. -
I wrenched for a trucking company shop. I never reported #### lol. Stuff happens.austinmike Thanks this.
