Buy a magnetic key case from Walmart and stick it anywhere outside your truck, preferably as high as possible to prevent water from getting into it.
If you own the truck, change the locks in your truck doors to the ones that make it impossible to lock yourself out.

I always had a couple wire tied to the wire loom on the firewall. Being I always lock my truck anytime I leave it for 2 seconds
Lived in SW Florida for 35 years will teach you to lock your car.

Drive a peterbilt or kenworth, you'll never lock yourself out.
Barring that...instead of hiding a key, keep a short coil of stiff, yet bendable wire zip-tied to the truck. If someone finds the key, it's easy to implement. It takes a minute to break in with wire.Another Canadian driver, SteveScott and HillbillyDeluxeTruck Thank this. -
