Damage to truck

The sky is falling, the sky is falling! A bunch of you here are worse than the mainstream media with the fear-mongering. The guy lightly damaged a fairing for chrissake. He's not going to get fired for it and it isn't gonna go on his DAC report. Let him deal with it as he sees fit. If he reports it, he's definitely going to get over-charged. He's better off buying one if the damage is that bad.

 

i have to look that up, regarding what an employer can and cannot say. i seem to recall maybe a year or two, right here on this site, many debates about that.

i do believe as long as it's TRUE, an employer CAN SAY what they need to say, regarding a soon to be, former employee.

and yuuup. here it is.

ok, so today, he "lightly damages" one thing, and tries to get away with it. tomorrow, it's something else, the day after yet something else.

when does it stop?

when does he act in a responsible manner?

when does he owe up to anything?

so he in a few years, goes out and gets his own equipment, and he "lightly damages" it....

but now, he has a bank note on it. now does he take responsibility for his actions, or blames the bank, or hey maybe the dealership, cuz that damage was there when he bought the truck?

a man of character and a humble man owes up to what he did.

 

I thought fairing damage was from the factory on CR E trucks . I laughed at these 3 guys in a CRE truck the other day , I asked one guy how he liked it and he said " it just smells like a constant fart in this truck " he just shook his head and walked away head down lol .

 

I understand what you're saying. But some of you here are making a mountain out of a mole hill and sensationalizing things. He's a newbie. He will learn from this and get better. Do you think it is fair that he reports it and then the company charges him $500 for a part that goes for less than $100? Especially when the fairing is fairly (see what I did there?) easy to install? Let me ask you this: If you were to scratch the hood of your truck, would you report it? Just a common scratch. Would you? Probably not. And a scratch would probably be more expensive to fix.

 

You could always pay to repair the damage.
