if you really want to make it easy for the driver, have the company request ELECTRIC PALLET jack and move the cars out the drive way. if the driver cant get an electric jack at least help him push it up the drive way........ at the end of the day if the customer helps me off load ill usually take the trash for them and help them out as much as possible
i dont accept tips personally but if you jam some money in my pocket im not going to say anything lol

Well, apparently I waited too long to call to see if I can select the shipper...
Just got an email stating it's shipping via Central Transport. Here's hoping they arrive in the correct number of pieces.Sirscrapntruckalot, Rideandrepair, jmz and 3 others Thank this. -
Uh oh. Good luck.Rideandrepair, jmz, ZVar and 1 other person Thank this.

If it's damaged I'll just not accept delivery. We'll see how well that works out. Although the tracking is neat, they even show the BOL on their tracking website.
2 pallets and one box (the box is likely the toe kicks at 8' long) and for the drivers sake I hope normal pallet size. And there are two special charges. Residential and lift gate.
Hopefully it's not in a 48 when delivered. I don't think a 48 can turn down the road. At least and not curb so guys lawn.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
oh my, Central Transport is a dumb. and here in LA ive never seen them in a 28 or even a 48 with a lift gate like ever, more then likely they'll hand the shipment off to another carrierRideandrepair and ZVar Thank this.

Yikes....
I’m not sure Central even has liftgate trailers. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen one.Jay5GS, Rideandrepair, alds and 1 other person Thank this. -
I don't think I've ever seen a CT liftgate trailer, but I did see a straight truck of theirs once. I assume it had a liftgate. It'd be insane if it didn't, but I wouldn't be surprised. Hopefully they send him one. I don't think they have a lot of them, though.
The thing about R&L is that it seems like most of the peddle drivers are always pulling liftgates on their routes. They seem to be better suited for dealing with residentials and other surprises. I was super happy with them. The freight was pristine in both cases.Last edited: May 7, 2020
MACK E-6, Jay5GS, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
I had someone offer me a tip once on a residential. I didn’t take the money, just didn’t seem professional for some reason...maybe I should have taken the money.Rideandrepair and ZVar Thank this.

Well, talked to the dispatch at CT for my local barn today. It seems they do have some liftgate 48's. I just hope he doesn't tear yards up getting in or out of the neighborhood....
It'll be at the barn Friday night, so delivered on Monday.Bob Dobalina, Rideandrepair and Cardfan89 Thank this. -
Maybe you should drive it in from the main road for him.
ZVar and Rideandrepair Thank this.
