The owner of the truck I drive doesn’t even know what type of engine he has under the hood.

He knows it’s a Cummins but how can I check the exact model. I need to get a part and he can’t tell me what model it is

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

time to find a new employer, someday, he will say he doesn't know how to write a paycheck.

on some engines, there is attached to it, a label, either a sticky label or a metal plate. look on both side of the engine, but most i have seen are on the drivers side.

It’s almost illegible but the serial number looks to be 306-0607

i fear for you, that you will be holding the bag on this dud of a boss/owner.

bail out now, find employment with a REAL trucking company.

Coffey, JonJon78 and DUNE-T Thank this.

Youve got two weeks in.. And are worthless to anyone but a mega.

This guy who doesnt know what engine he owns.. But youre there working on the issue.. He NEEDS you. Work that for all its worth driver. Because right now its probably the only thing youve got that sets you apart from the crowd.

Get your time in and take ownership of as much responsibility as he will allow.

Cummins engines have the engine info up on top. Climb up on the front wheel and give her a read.
