The guy was jailed for aggravated assault since he pointed the pistol at the yard man.Dui cmv and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. And several other charges.Luckily nobody was hurt.A drunk with a firearm is never good.

Back when I was running drywall around NYC I was delivering to a customer in Staten Island one morning. Pulled up behind 2 tarped lumber trucks who had obviously gotten there hours before me and were sleeping. Being a nice day, I proceeded to unstrap and untarp my load so I'm ready to go. Yard foreman (who was known to be a little cranky, but if you knew "the drill' was a decent guy) comes out surveys the line and tells me to pull in. While they were unloading me one of the "sleepy heads" walks in and asks me why they are unloading me first. I tell him I was told to pull in seeing as I was ready to go. I did tell him that if he was going to register his disappointment with the foreman he might want to arrange to have his mail forwarded to the customers address because the foreman really didn't tolerate any crap! He went back to his truck and proceeded to get his load ready.
If you want to be first and get unloaded first......ACT LIKE IT!

I never knocked, I stood on the steps and held on the grab handles and rocked the sleeper. A more gentle way to wake the driver.

Nope. The only exception is if it was someone I know and we were running together. That happened a few times with Maverick.

That's why you park directly in front of the gate either wake me up or fly over the truck..jk. Not saying I've never done it though. Especially when you get there at 3 in the morning after an 18 hour day and know they're going to be there at 6. Some of you guys take life a little too seriously. Its going to kill you to wake a guy up if he starts drowsing off while waiting in line??? Apparently you've never waited in line at a customer for a few hours. Smh

Do it almost every morning because the box jockies delivering across the street from my terminal see the parking lot and decide that it's a great place to park while they wait. If they are smart enough (1 out of every 25) to go on through the gate and back into a parking spot like all the rest of our trucks then we let them sleep. Sadly for the other 24, they park in such a way as to block the flow of trucks in and out of the building so they get a wake-up knock as soon as I pull up to the office. One out of every 5 of those argue with me and refuse to move because of their ELD but after some explanation of Private Property, Trespassing etc. they creep out at 4.5 mph and across to the guard gate where they're supposed to be.

Now, if one of them want's to brandish the aforementioned hot lead ejector, be it known to them that my .45 has a hydra-shok in the pipe and 12 more spring loaded right under it.
