Ha! Dwell. I wonder if some folks even know what contact points were? Carb adjustment meant, hold your hand over the intake while running and open the throttle to suck anything through the jets. Ah yes, such simple times,,,

We never worried about it when I hauled fuel.
not4hire Thanks this. -
Most of the time you either add the dye to the storage tank then dump the new load on top, or put the dye in the hose then run the load through the hose as you unload. It would be unusual to put dyed fuel directly in the transport tanker.
-
They don’t let drivers add dye anywhere around me.....
It’s all injected at the rack ...... -
I wasn’t sure how it worked! There’s a company around be that Has a 2 tanks at their yard off road and on road diesel, and one delivery truck ( kinda like a home heating oil delivery truck, but bigger) came and filled the on road and the off road tanks. And it made me wonder if they had to always use the same compartments in the truck because of the dye.
-
Truck or trailer has multiple compartments.......
How do you think they deliver nolead and super nolead in the same load...?Roberts450 Thanks this. -
I know that. But this is a big fuel supplier, I doubt that they have dedicated compartments just for dyed fuel? What happens if they need to deliver only on road fuel they can’t use the truck? I know there is speratersfe compartments for the on road and the dyed fuel
I know nothing about transporting fuel so maybe that’s how it works -
Always picked up predyed from the terminal. Guess it depends on where you get it.
