I'm sure that's the ejector. The shiny part?

Ever seen a shotgun shell with a black rim? black/blued to match the barrel ?

When I delivered gas in Oakland at night I would keep this in my hand or close by. Harbor freight has them cheap. Never did use it for work but it looks mean.

Some jobs you are stuck outside in an area and the bad guys know it. At little while after I went days they made a bunch of stations day time only delivery. Apparently I was one of the few idiots willing to deliver to those stations.

I have one of those . Some shippers liked to shoot nails into the floor on the bed , most of the time you just broke the heads off the nails.

sharpe and silent if needed , you don’t have to be strong or have a ton of endurance . One well placed thrust would get the point across quickly

Just above the edge of that hammer looking piece , I don’t have any experience with a split barrel shotgun but I would imagine it’s not loaded for the photo secession

    THIS.
Shoots about thirty feet and legal everywhere. And if hit in the face, the perp is going down. Trust me I have used it in California a number of years ago. The guy was as big as hulk hogan and went down like a leaf.

Im sorry I had to lol. Get a tiny gun. I'm in the same boat. Got a federal felony 17 years ago(growing weed) did no time. But lpst my gun rights for life. Only way to get my gun rights back is through a presidential pardon. Which will never happen. That being said. I still carry in my truck. Better to be judge by 12 then carried by 6

Well if you can legally own a powder ABC fire extinguisher it will stop anyone in the tracks, coughing and whizzing while you leave the area, which is what you should do when confronted, is create time and leave the area. If by chance you do use a firearm, be calling the police while the shooting is fresh, like immediately. The police are going to record it from the side of the first caller more than likely. A knife is not a whole lot better than a gun as it is still deadly force, a fire extinguisher on the other hand does not look premeditated, just self defense. I know it works I had a hot head in downtown LA(Vernon on Soto) that thought he was going to pull me out of my truck, the last I saw he was coughing on all 4's in the center divider while I drove away.

Its a lethal poison, if you check with a cop they will not tell you its legal, let alone everywhere, a fire extinguisher is required, and you already have it.
