1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Hi to everyone. I am totally new to this Site, and I am seriously looking for work.
I don't have the World's greatest looking DAC, so I'm not able to go to the top Dawgs. But I need a job with anyone who is willing to take a chance. I have minor preventables, in the past and one major recently. A jack knife in bad weather this past winter. No ticket, not DOT reportable, but still I did lose my job.
If anyone, anywhere would help me out I would really be greatful to have the opportunity to clear up my past mishaps.
Thanks to anyone taking the time to read my post. :biggrin_25519:

Hard to say. If your driving record is good you might be able to go to a smaller company that doesn't use DAC.... Jack-Knife is pretty serious, though.

Yeah, jack knifes are pretty bad for sure. Not going to make excuses, poor conditions that got even worse. Winter storm in N. Ohio, with a light load, 14k, and no weight on the rear of trailer. Wind kicked up and a gust sent my trailer to meet me. I did'nt lay it over or end up in the ditch, kept it upright but got banged up good. Company did'nt want to fire me for it but I was on probation status at the time, I'd just started back to work for them. They said they had no choice. Rules are rules.
I'm emailing a guy now that posted an ad, he's a small, one rig owner that needs a Co-Driver. I hope if nothing else he'll give me a half chance. Gotta try!!
Thanks for responding to my thread. :biggrin_25514:

By the by, yeah my Driving record is immaculate, I was not charged or cited by the State for the accident. I have nothing on my MVR at all. No tickets or anything. My MVR is clean for the last 20 yrs.
I don't have any reportables on DOT either. By the Grace of God, might I add. :biggrin_25520:
