    @Russian Rabbit Are you guys helping out UPS small package these days? Like FedEx Freight is helping out Ground because they’re so busy right now.

    I was referring to linehaul, but actually yes some of them are doing package deliveries as well. No whining as far as I can tell because they were all volunteers and the alternative is not having a job or not getting many hours.

    It appears that i may have been mistooken; Apparently some of our laid off guys DID and HAVE been going over to small pack. i ASSume it's drop and hook stuff, not sure if they are doing package car work. Some of our drivers actually have package car experience so they probably won't mynd.

    i, personally, am opposed to that kind of work and would actually prefer to do food or beverage vs. package car.

    Never heard that before.
    Are they actually delivering packages in a car.

    Perhaps “package VAN” might be more accurate. ;)
