I have managed to make plenty of stupid mistakes in the 1.5 years I've been trying to learn how to do this job. None have risked personal injury tho. I hope I never get that complacent. I could not imagine surviving an incident where I killed someone.

@Qbf594
I said what I said only because the truck driver's wife is 8 months pregnant, and he is the sole breadwinner of the family.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

I praise you for never exceeding the speed limit ever!
Too bad you are not familiar w the area or you would know it slight uphill. slight left radiused turn with maybe 1/8 mile visibility on that approach, and w the light traffic since the pandemic he may have been lulled into a false sense of safety with familiar surroundings or preoccupied w a pregnant wife or who knows what but again it's good to see that you've kept up on the story and post with an open mind. -
But what if he'd run into a car with another woman and her unborn child. He's the only one who can make responsible decisions....born&raisedintheusa Thanks this.

Ever been over that bridge? Its got a pretty high arch and you can't see even to the center of the bridge as you enter on to it. As far as the speeding... Yeah he was, but 5 mph less wouldnt have shortened his stopping distance by much. He went from nearly 70 mph to complete stop in 8 seconds... Id like to see just about anyone try to do that and remain in control enough to steer around fallen people.

Maybe a few more years will give you a wider perspective..stay safe.Snailexpress, Bean Jr. and Cattleman84 Thank this.

I totally let it roll when gravity is helping. Luckily I work for a company that doesn't monitor. But I'm also the paranoid one who leaves the full 7 seconds following distance. I'm the nervous Nelly who slows 5 to 10 for rain and fog and whatever.
I have extremely bad luck. Its not a crisis its just how things rolled out. So I take precautions. I take responsibility. I piss off you guys behind me because I slow at blind curves etc.
No excuse for potentially deadly level of distraction. Its totally understandable. Just not excusable.
My opinion.born&raisedintheusa and Dennixx Thank this. -
FORTUNATELY & THANKFULLY, by the HOLY GRACE OF GOD, this scenario did NOT take place.
God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!Dennixx Thanks this. -
Its baffling to me that you experienced drivers who completely RIP us new idiots a new ### for curbing a tire or the dollar store driver who took down an overhead wire or other preventable dumbness... how we are negligent in our responsibility... but here you guys are like well ya he would have run into a pile of cars but heh....it a curve. Theres a hill.... not his fault because...reasons....
Wtf -
Of course they did. Minnesota's AG and his son are both in support of the rioters.
