Don't Stop Drivers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We may rib rookies for some of the stupid #### that happens... But we dont crucify them or act like we want to burn them at the stake either.

Would you expect to all of a sudden see the road completely blocked by a crowd of people? Stopped traffic gives off many other warning before hand than a crowd of people... Glare, brake lights, honking horns, reflected light, ect. People KNEELING on the road way dont present much for a driver to see at a distance when they are out of sight over a jersey barrier, around a curve, AND over a crest.

 

I don't condemn anyone for mistakes, especially rookie mistakes. We've all made our share.
But now you are painting w a broad brush.
We're talking about a specific incident and if the local,state and federal officials deem it an accidental incident and no one was injured what is your point?
There were no cars or pregnant women involved.
One thing you should always keep in mind that on the roads and higways of the nation not many are designed for maximum visibility with regard to stopping distances of large vehicles.
Precisely why a slower speed is required during inclement weather. But when you are rolling in the middle of nowhere and you top a hill or overpass and a vehicle has become disabled or crashed,rolled whatever and is blocking the highway, what are your choices in the 3 seconds before you strike it?
Are you to blame because you didn't forsee the crash?
The vast majority of crashes are preventable but some are not. Why would you be expecting 6 thousand people on a interstate highway?
I work for a large hazmat tanker carrier and after any incident we go thru a root cause analysis protocol to determine what, why and how it happened and to try to prevent it in the future.
After looking at the limited facts here(and I'm here to) the only thing I see is exceeding the 60 mph limit and have not heard how fast he was traveling but despite that it changes nothing other than that he may have stopped 45' shorter, not even the length of his trailer.
Guy has a spotless safety record and had just delivered to a minority owned station, one of the only ones open, in S. Minneapolis when no other drivers would go because of the riots.
After 45 years of beating this highway I am giving him the benefit of doubt.

 

It has come out he was on the hwy before it was shut down. So he did nothing wrong .

You tell them buddy..... because freeways are for protests, just like shopping malls are just a convenient stockpile of goods set up for finding free #### to take after breaking the inconveniently placed windows.

 

I believe it is the domestic terrorist who burned down those cities, attaced innocent people who don't agree with their blind misguided rational, and monged fear in the hearts of the general public.

Since you obviously have no moral compass and hold no good will in your heart for your fellow man. I've included the definition of domestic terrorist to remind you that you fall under that. The proper avenue for change is not by mindless violence and crimes of opportunity.

It was in the best interest of the self preservation for the driver to attempt to remove himself from the scenario. Even if it meant the possibility of unintentionally harming those who were dead set on harming him.

If you can see outside your tunnel vision. Just know that all lives matter and to hold any one race or ethnicity above the rest while shunning the rest makes you in fact the racist.
