Moving to Savannah

What part of Tennessee did you move from?

 

About 20 miles North of Nashville or 3 miles North of the Davidson County line that Nashville sits in.

 

Main reason I moved is the weather is so nice here year round. Only need a light jacket during the winter and it's sunny with no ice and snow.
No state income taxes and no food taxes at the grocery stores.
My property tax is about $2000.00 per year.
One of my neighbors is from Johnson City, Tennessee and he moved here for the nice weather also.

 

Vegas, right?

 

I'm in Henderson, but can see the Las Vegas Strip from my HOA. About a 15 minute drive to the strip.
Walmart, Sam's Club is a few blocks away and has a Las Vegas address.
The city limits of Las Vegas and Henderson kind of zig zag through each other. In Henderson there's lots of palm trees and no litter anywhere.

That's as close as I care to be. Some people love it, but I'm just not interested. There's a few casino's in Henderson and I have been to those a few times for the buffet.

 

You are obviously in the trucking industry... But, are you a driver, OO, recruiter,..? How's Vegas for OO?

 

I'm a driver, but now prefer to spend the school year in Nevada and the summer at our home in China. The COVID-19 put a halt to that plan for this summer though.
Don't have to drive anymore, unless I want to.
My sister wants me to move back to Tennessee, but I told her, no chance at all for that; I love it here.
There's lots of 0/0's living here, but I'm not familiar with how they operate as far as if they're independents or leased to companies.
A few have posted on here, but don't remember their screen names.

• Must possess a valid CDL with Hazardous Materials endorsement
