Left out of greer this morning pointed toward our delivery in OH for tomorrow. We planned on making it between Lexington and Cincinnati but road construction had other plans. Only managed to make it about 300 miles before my trainer decided to call it for the day. We're heading out at 0600 tomorrow to make our appointment for noon. After that its head back to Cincinnati to drop off at the tank wash and report to the terminal for out next load that'll head out wednesday. Hopefully we can make our way back south so I dont have to drive back from greer this weekend. If all goes well, I should get released after this tour is done.

What's up everyone. So I should be starting soon with superior. I did my dexterity test today and passed and just waiting for drug test results to come back. I was told they did hair folicles here and havent done it yet. Grant I dont do any but was still looking for it come. I'm out of the terminal in Charleston, Sc. I was told I should be trading for 2 weeks at my terminal then head to Savannah, georgia for 2 weeks. Then off to Greer for tdc training. I graduated school jan 14, 2020. I went to trans am in tampa Florida for a week. Honestly for more training. They used scare tactics to get us to lease and I was like no way. I went with them to wait for superior to bring me on board and now I'm just playing the wait game. Great thread here and I must say for us to come straight out of school to a company like this is a total blessing!

Finally getting released from training! Today was my last day to meet the 30 day requirement, so we got the ball rolling when my trainer and I were done for the day. Tomorrow morning I go in to finish paperwork and told my TM that I should be gtg Thursday. I was originally gonna get assigned one of the older LT's, but it's still in the body shop and they don't know when it's gonna be done. Luckily (for me anyway lol) we had a driver quit last Thursday and her truck is ready to go once they put in a new mattress. It's an almost brand new LT with only 60k miles. Inverter is already built in, so that's gonna save me some cash. Just need to get a TV and a small cooler or fridge. I'm gonna measure the space behind the drivers seat and see if i can squeeze in one of those little 1.5 cf dorm fridges. Ready to hit the road! I'm planning on staying out until the 13th when I have a home date.

Got my first solo load tomorrow. Loading at 0530 and heading up to Pineville to do a drop and hook and taking the empty back to the terminal. I'm limited on range right now because apparently a fuel card was never ordered for me. Should be in tomorrow though. Gonna wait until Monday to go into the system for the week since I still don't know if I've got a new mattress, but I'm gonna see if there's a couple of local preloads over the weekend I can do.

Hey WIlee81 how is everything going out there? Update on me. I'm still in training. Went to tdc last week. Currently trying to get some road training done. My terminal in n. Charleston doesnt have one currently. So I'm suppose to be heading to Savannah ga this weekend. Still waiting on confirmation. Besides that so far so good. Except for a little bit of pay hiccups. But the tm had been great about fixing them. I'm the first entry level in 9 years so it's to be expected. Everyone stay safe out on the road!

Hey man how is everything going?

I know this thread has been going on for a while . Wanted to know if any of you drivers know anything about the St Gabriel terminal and how they run. Any replies would be appreciated thanks

SurfBaker Are you still with Superior Carriers ? If so, how are things ?
-
I'm out of st Gabriel. All in all it's a decent gig. Things are pretty slow most places, but under normal circumstances we stay pretty busy. Terminal manager is about as straight laced as they get, so he wont ######## you, but if you need something done, he'll get it done.

Thanks for the reply I applied at the St Gabriel terminal right before the pandemic. How long do you stay out usually? Do you do a lot of out and backs or mostly system?
