Everything sounds pretty good. The hometime is somewhat disappointing but, living in Florida, this is to be expected. Are trucks all automatics ?

Yeah, it kinda sucks but it’s better than most places. Most wont even hire out of here. The rest are the same 3 weeks. And no you can request a manual from my understandingJarhed1964 and Speed_Drums Thank this.

Day 3 of orientation.
More powerpoints. Met more directors and other staff, signed more paperwork, went over ELD and peoplenet, met with payroll and benefits, and Had McAllisters deli for lunch. The food is good for lunches but it’s geared toward being more healthy. Tomorrow is a reefer class and truck assignments and meeting DM’s and getting dispatched or leaving with a trainer.Jarhed1964, audeygdad, Speed_Drums and 4 others Thank this. -
FloridaBoy93, Where is the nearest terminal in proximity to where you live ?
-
There’s only one. And it’s in Oklahoma City

Do you have a place to park during hometime ?
-
I’m working on that. I’ll worry about it more when it comes closer to me getting my own truck. I’m on a trainer truck at the moment. If the place I want to park it says no or something then there’s a secured lot about 20 mins from home. Your truck has to be secured and be parked in a place approved by the company.Jarhed1964, D LOOK and JForce28 Thank this.

Do you have any info to tell us on your first load, and how you are liking it so far? ThanksJForce28 Thanks this.

I’ve been meaning to update. I been busy lol
Training is going good, good trainer, good equipment, I had my first ever dot inspection, lol I passed so they’re giving me a bonus for clean inspection and it was my 2nd day in the truck. Learning the reefer way of life, lol overall I’m still impressed with this company. If I wanted to stay OTR I would say this would be my 2nd and last company but I want to be a local driver, I’m just out here “paying dues” as you call it. Either way it’s a good company and I’m impressed. I’d recommend themVinceBlack, Jarhed1964, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
How difficult is it to adjust to sleeping as a reefer driver?
