Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

That's disappointing for people who genuinely think they have a chance of getting a job that isn't actually open. When FedEx decided to furlough people, their job postings went from over 200 down to zero. Currently only 11 posted.Bob Dobalina, McUzi and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.

@jmz quick question has FedEx started bringing people back from furlough or is it still slow do you know.
-
Well I’d still call the terminal just to be sure.jmz Thanks this.

Went to a small open deck operation. Regional and local. Money is the same or better than R&L. One to three nights out, done by noon or so on Friday. Much more low key and the way I want to finish out the last 15 years or so of my career.jtaran06, Danny707, Bob Dobalina and 1 other person Thank this.

My barn never furloughed any road drivers in the first place and I don't know what other locations are doing. Just depends how much business has picked up in different parts of the country as things reopen.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this.

Should add that R&L you may as well figure on 50-55 hour week, so 1486-1634$ per week gross. NOR did not slow down much during Wuhan Flu Panic but that is dependent on your location. Some barns slowed niticeably

I work for Tru Blu Logistics / Fresenius.
We have a DC in Toledo, OH. I trained there for 2 weeks and now Im at my local dock in Pittsburgh, PA.
We get home daily but its class B and local / in surrounding states. We use pallet jacks and motorized dollys. Its a physical gig
Line haulers (class A), only drop pallets at docks, so its less physical. Idk if they get home daily, but i'd assume they do if they only del to 1 dock a day
All the trucks are newer and its a good company to work for.Last edited: Jun 5, 2020
McUzi and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
We used to haul Fresinius. Heavy skids to extended care facilities nudsung homes and dialysis centers. Drivers seemed happy, gotta be comfortable manuvering in tight spots.

Yea, they are heavy skids and we deliver to clinics, home patients and hospitals with clinic offices within them. Its a great company to work for but its hard work.
