why do YOU hate CA?

I had an officer go over my bill of lading reallly close at the agricultural checkpoint..hehe...

 

I'm so glad they moved the I-80 checkpoint to the east side of Truckee now, no more traffic leaving Tahoe. Also I forgot about the other reason why I don't like going down hwy 50 with a boat, the Inspection Coup is right there just out of South Lake Tahoe and they bring me in every time...I like the drive up 89 and down 80 much more =)

 

now according to cal law you can not idel your truck and it does not matter if you have a zoo in the truck or not it will get you a ticket and some places are worse then others.
now i dont run cal much any more but it because of there epa standards but i must admit have had no problems with that as of yet but i run old trucks so i dont temp fate i just dont go nothing comming out of there any way and i dontnhaul produce.---southern pride

 

CHP likes to roam the established parking areas (truck stops, rest areas, etc.) I don't think they monitor Walmarts and other places as much though.

 

California has just way too many regulations and the anti idling laws are insane. Plus I still recall the City of Ontario has been trying to boot the two TA truckstops out. Great, where do we park if that happens?

 

Stop going there. The problem will solve itself once they realize we hate them more than they hate us.

Don't get me started on Ontario/Chino truck parking codes.......

Let's just say both city councils have forgotten the roots of the area...AG/Dairy.... and they all think that products miraculously appear on the grocery store shelves......

 

its been awhile since i been to cali but my reasons for hating it are
1. i got a ticket for getting off a left exit which both my qc and gps directions said to do (company fought the ticket and it was dismissed)
2. trucks right lanes only
3. trucks 55 mph and everyone else is running way faster
4. i got a written warning for being parked at a rest area longer than 2 hours
5. no idle ever
6. truck stops charge to park
7. people in compton shoot at you anytime of day
8. ship/rec are super unfriendly along with everyone else in la

now mind you its been 3 years since i was there so it may have changed but since its ca its probably gotten worse
