Brake Lights Won't Turn off

    I have problem with 2006 peterbilt 387 , brake lights stays on , checked all fuses and relay.. everything looks ok .. tried to unplug brake switch from trailer valve under cab , did not work either.. does anyone knows if 387 has any other brake switch and cruise control doesn’t work either. Please help me ....

    Hi Peter387. I'm not as familiar with the newer trucks. I would still think your issue is related to the trolley brake or a switch for the foot brake. You've checked the trolley brake? As dumb as that sounds... I was posting on here because my brake lights were not turning off. My trolley brake was just barely on.

    Ok for starters, drain all of your air. If the lights go out, you have an air problem. If the lights stay lit, its electrical.

    yes I checked trailer brake too.. nothing under brake pedal .. but I unplugged brake lights at night and plug back in morning .. now everything working normal .. still couldn’t find out the problem.. but cruise control still not work

    Had a similar issue with my old truck. Try an air hose and blow all the dirt and dust out around the break pedal. Then use wd40, as it displaces moisture. Work the break pedal with your hand or foot. This worked for me, my breaks were actually hanging up for the dirt around the break pedal

    Had same issue with the 2016 KW. We went to the back of the rig the harness to the brake lights was filled with dirt and sand. Peeled off the tape, cleaned it out, think we added a new plug but it fixed it.
