    i understand that a new IRP applicant can purchase a 45 day temporary permit to run interstate. I’m in Illinois. What do you think that will cost me and does that come with plates. Thank you

    You're probably best to call the IL Secretary of State office to get the answer. I'm a new entrant and the IRP plate cost $1,760.68 plus a service fee of $39.62 for using a credit card (bought the plate this month) Ya so get ready to fork over $1800 so you can get your plate.
