It’s a ‘51 921N the 27th one built out of less than 200 they built from ‘51 to ‘58. It still has its original NH 180 that my Grandfather overhauled to a 220 and put a PT pump on it in ‘58. 5x3 over drives. I think a 5.33 rear. 50 mph top speed loaded with Bulls. You drove a rare one too. That one being a ‘55 was probably in the serial # range of low 100 something.peterbilt_2005, 650cat425, truckdad and 1 other person Thank this.

They were a very expensive option at the time. $8 extra over the standard singles. The original polished aluminum flared back buckets are worth a mint now. My Uncle also paid extra back then for factory polished radiator top and side panels. Not sure what tho cause it doesn’t show that cost on the sale order sheet. It just says polished radiator top, side panels and bare aluminum shutters requested. Standard was painted.

‘58 was the transition year for the 921 It went from the International “Comfo-Cab” to the Autocar-White “Driver/Corporate Cab”
Diamond -T records are pretty much non existant. White dumpstered them after the buyout. The best I can find. ‘51-‘58 with IHC cab was either around 170 or 190 built. No one can agree on a number yet. ‘58-‘66 with autocar cab is unknown.
1967 was the Diamond T/REO merger to Diamond Reo. When volvo bought out White they destroyed all production records so truck historians are still researching.Landincoldfire, 650cat425, truckdad and 2 others Thank this. -
These pics are from the very early and mid-60’s.nredfor88, baha, black_dog106 and 11 others Thank this. -
