I don't know how you folks sleep at any given moment. I only sleep at the end of my day . Taking a nap has never happened, I just lie there and then feel worst afterwards.
More power to those that can . I've never missed an Appt ,unless mechanical failure
So am I wrong here?

Bottom line! Regardless of your available hours, do not drive if you are not up to driving. This means being tired or sick. Everything else is commentary!God prefers Diesels and G13Tomcat Thank this.

If you accept the trip you should make the appointment.
Reefer is 24/7, that is why I went to dryvan. I like sleeping at night.
Find a company that fits you before you get fired from this one. -
^^^^^Yes Yes Yes^^^^^^Clock Management! Thank you. It's not Rocket Science. Unless of course you are a young Millennial and went to a school that never taught you to read the "hands" on a "clock". I am not making this up. Look it up. Many Public School Systems no longer teach this "useless" skill to students!G13Tomcat Thanks this.

I think most of us could have easily made that run. But if he was so tired that he couldn't make it as he said he was. I don't think anyone would want someone like that on the road!
tinytim, G13Tomcat and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
Those have saved my butt more than once.

Gee, that doesn’t sound very gentle there, Mr. @gentleroger

I'm gentle under most circumstances because I find it more pleasurable for all involved, but there is a time and a place for a more domineering demeanor.Sirscrapntruckalot, G13Tomcat, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this.

My experience is about 1 out of 5 that get into refridgerated trucking just cant drive overnight, whether they slept or not.
I trained a guy that slept all night while we were parked. Then we loaded and I drove my 10. He slept all day as well while I drove.
Then it was his turn to drive the overnight. He stopped at 1AM and slept. Then at 3AM he got fuel and fell asleep on the fuel island. He had a pillow right on the steering wheel. Lol. He was in the sleeper for almost 24 hours!
I woke him up, he insisted he was fine to drive. So i said fine, lets get rolling. Then he started driving and I heard the rumble strip go off over and over and over like 5 times. I peek out and he is in the middle of both lanes.
So I seatbelted in and started a conversation. When the sun came up he was fine.650cat425, God prefers Diesels and G13Tomcat Thank this.
