Looking on internet the International LT C10 is a truck build to try and get high MPG. It seem to have a Cummins engine. It does not have seem to have auto engine stop or start. It also does not have the battery power heater and a/c lots of international have. I just read post other day Western Express truck only idle if outside temperature is above 78F or below 38F or something. So it look like your just using the Cummins engine for all heat and a/c. So try this and look on dash if you can and see if outside temperature is showing above 78. Because it can still get hot on cab/sleep when it kinda cool outside.

Two things worth trying. When you get the shut off light hold the brake pedal down for at least 3 seconds. If that doesnt work then get the shut off warning again to appear and mash the gas pedal to about 9000 rpm and soon as light disappears release very quickly.
One of my trainers had this truck with Knight Transportation and we were able to get it to idle. I just can't remember which one it was. It definitely was not releasing the tractor brakes like in other trucks.farmerjohn64 Thanks this. -
Well, at least 6 months then in my humble opinion, lol.farmerjohn64 Thanks this.

Nothing happened until I killed the truck, hit the power button, turned on and set it to 60; I don’t know if it’s working like it’s supposed to, but I swear I feel slightly cool air gradually coming through the vents in the front and then none at all when I turn the power off; is this how it’s supposed to operate?

That’s what it did yesterday, got warm enough outside and idled for a little while

Another thing to try is tapping the "On" button and double tapping the "+ Res" to get it to fast idle.

That espar button you pushed is only blowing air like a fan but not AC. But it will give you good heat in the winter.

If you're getting airflow in the bunk then yes it's working. Get yourself a 12v fan to help blow that air around the cab if you can't get the entire truck to idle and open the bunk windows try to get as much airflow as possible.
If it's unbearable go soak a rag or towel in some ice water if you're near a truck stop and throw it over you to help with cooling you down. You could also maybe find a water misting fan at walmart or some other store if you have the time.
This is part of the trucking life for a little while it's not forever so put in your time and if they don't want to give you a different truck after you have served your time as a rookie then move on but don't quit over this. Communicate with your dispatch and let them know the situation.Last edited: Jun 28, 2020
