    I question if an extra battery or upgrade alternator is even needed. LEDs draw so little juice.

    Yes you are correct but I'm Just trying to do it to be on the safe side with all the new trucks now any little short can cause a lot of damage dont want that

    OK I was told that if you add extra batteries you have to adjust the alternator so it can support it

    Look at the lights you want to use . Add up either the amps or watts and let us know.

    There is no room for an extra battery in the battery box.
    You’re talking about having a dedicated battery for lights? Sorry but it just sounds crazy.
    When it’s time for new batteries, just buy 4 new deep cycle ones if you want to spend a few more bucks.
