Get a heating pad wrap it around the temp probe on the mirror tight. Then plug it in to your inverter it will climb over 100 degrees. Will it idle then? Worked for me way back when I started

I haven't seen you respond to the suggestion of idling up your truck. I have a '20 LT as well and turning on the cruise and tapping the +resume button does it for me. you should see "Engine Throttle" appear in the lower right corner of your dash display.

Must not have seen that post, but this was suggested to me as well and it didn’t work for me either, appreciate it though

I might have to try that man if I don’t get anywhere with breakdown, I talked to someone an hour ago, not sure what’s going on yet

I'm not going to go back through and look, but I wanted to make sure that you said that it will still shut off even if you stick something on the throttle and raise the RPMs that way, correct?

    Yes sir, that is correct

I’m also realizing the truck won’t idle like it’s supposed to when it reaches a certain temp outside; it’s hit 90 degrees a couple different times that I’ve checked this and the truck still shuts off

I wedged my trusty tire pressure gauge in there and it turned off as usual with it still in place on the pedal

U have to trick the ecm that something is happening... that is why @Dave_in_AZ aid wheel chocks... put wheel chocks on tires and release breaks... otherwise wedging something in the pedal wont workbecause nothing changes in the ecm if the rpms dont fluctuate. Its how the new trucks work... find out where ur ambient temperature sensor is at. Tape a handwarm or a black piece of fabric to it and it should read a higher temperature to get u above the 75 degrees

At least on the bright side I can catch up on sleep and figure something out when everyone opens back up, I’ll be good
