I’m not sure what “CMS” stands for, but this is why the cruise control method didn’t work for me; it doesn’t allow me to the set cruise control for whatever reason![]()

Ok, those new international engines must idle at regular ilde speeds for long time. Volvo engines do that also, Freightliner with Detroit engines like to idle at 900 RPMs.D.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this.
-
Yeah it stays idling around 500 rpm’sD.Tibbitt Thanks this.
-
I would turn on the the manual engine fan if it has a switch for thatD.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this.
-
I’m lookin’ around and I don’t see anything like thatD.Tibbitt Thanks this.
-
Ok, it may not have one. It helps keep your ac colder while idling, and helps keep the engine temperature down as wellD.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

I dont know jack about the new trucks, but that little symbol where the 'CMS' is has a truck with the little yellow things in front of it... could it be something to do with that collision avoidance junk? Something blocking your front sensor or something unplugged?D.Tibbitt and farmerjohn64 Thank this.
-

I have no idea myself, it does that no matter where I’m parked when I go to set the cruise, there’s nothing in front of me; I wouldn’t use cruise for that reason if I could get that extra 3 mph by using my foot, had a vehicle get in front of me on an on ramp and he was going plenty fast to get well ahead of me, but the computer decided to slam the brakes on me; hell, sometimes there’s nothing even there or just a piece of trash in the road and it does that to you

Wow! I was right?!farmerjohn64 and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
