Do they give you a new mattress in the old beat down truck?
Hell, I'd ask for a new seat too. I bet there's a lot of old smelly farts stored up in that drivers seat that you won't become aware of until your jeans spend a few hundred miles in it.
Drivers please stay away from " SELECT ONE INC"

I take no chances. After my first day in my first truck I smelled my jeans, nasty.
Even with a brand new truck I fold up a towel and put it on the seat. I wash it with laundry.
I also bought one of those inflatable air/water seat cushion things on Amazon. It's like sitting on a waterbed. I put that on top of the towel.
If I eat fried chicken or pizza, no problem, just wipe that stuff on the towel instead of the seat like the last ####### did.Last edited by a moderator: Jul 14, 2020

Oh boy. I get the feeling that these people already know what’s wrong with those trucks, Prototypedriver. Like you’re the 9th person that’s told them.
beware of bandaid repair jobs. The major repairs will come out of your pocket AFTER YOUVE SIGNED THE CONTRACT.

Update day 2 of getting a truck...
We singed contacts today (kinda)... Let me explain.... So i had picked out a 2015 frieghtliner had 550k on it... But i thought its only a year and a half and its paid for, plus it had air ride seats, double bunk, and it seemed to be in ok condition for its age vs the 2017 kw that had driver side air ride, jump seat was stationary, single bunk, fridge, inverter, factory apu stuff, with almost 400k, and 200 bucks more a week... More so i wanted something my children or wife would be able to ride/sleep comfortable in when they took a trip with me... So i chose the freight shaker... So i get there this morning, sign all the paper work (contracts for frieghtliner) and at lunch time, they dropped the news on me... When they had the local shop check everything out, that shop said it also needs a new clutch... No big deal right? Well,as he was explaining this. He stated that it would be another 2 or 3 days min. wait for that truck... I was like, well, if you think it will be out in2 or 3 days... I'll wait on it, but are you guys going to put me up in a motel for that time?... The reply was a sheepish yes, followed quickly by you really should check out the kw's... So buy this time, im getting hungry to make some money... So i said let me go check it out... I went back over to the shop, where they was putting a list of stuff on another fella from orientation truck (for free) and the kw was in there as well... So while i was waiting Cedric say lets talk... I replied, ok?... He tells me i can wait or tale the kw for a month to a month and a half, if i dont like it... I can swap it out for a frieghtliner ( tells me they are shooting for some newer ones... At this point im thinking i need to be making some money... So i shook his hand amd made the deal... So tonight i set in a 2017 kw... Its not a bad truck, but ita not what i picked out. Yet tomorrow, i hopw to be rolling and making some money as well... Side note, before we went to the shop. I asked Cedric how long we would be there. He replied 45 mins... So i just took one smoke with me... After being over there for about 1.5ish hours, i got to craving a smoke... I was picking around and said why dont you buy me a pack... He quickly replied, no problem... And went straight to the store amd bought me a pack of smokes (my brand)...Nolelover61 and baha Thank this. -
The fact that they have these trucks already, waiting for driver's to sign contracts to take over responsibility for them, yet they haven't even replaced something like a busted clutch, might be a sign. Those trucks should already be fixed up nice....or
I've never leased a truck, I'm just saying. I am particular aware of bad signs and would run far away from any possible scam. This looks like it's gonna be expensive. But you got a free pack of your favorite smokes.Veteran driver, Lonesome, mjd4277 and 3 others Thank this. -

To me, it sounds like a bait and switch. Did you get it in writing, that you can switch trucks in a month? Not trying to pee in your Post Toasties, but you gotta be aware of every angle a company might be trying to play.
Veteran driver and mjd4277 Thank this. -
here’s the thing. Don’t be ashamed to come back here in the weeks ahead, even when things start going south. Which they’re almost certain to do.
Drivers who start off with the intention of keeping us updated, lose that enthusiasm once the realization that they’ve been had, sets in.
I hope everything works out for you, I really do. And I’d like to see how things turn out for you.
all the best -
That is some funny stuff!PaulMinternational, kemosabi49 and Lonesome Thank this.
